Fixed term for 6 months 

Full-Time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £40,170 - £48,357 per annum (Candidates holding TQFE will commence on £46,310 per annum)

Location: Riverside Campus

As Lecturer in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, within the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will lead on the delivery of vocational practical as well as theory-based programmes to a variety of students destined for various industries such as shore based electrical sector as well the merchant navy. The delivery of our learning and teaching takes place in engineering workshop, IT enabled classrooms as well as online.     

As a professional member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will be responsible for accessible, modern, innovative, and fit-for-purpose learning and teaching packages for the practical and theory-based electrical engineering programmes as well supporting individual programme students throughout their learning journey.

To apply for this vacancy you must have HND Electrical Engineering or HND Electronics Engineering or equivalent and 3 years post-qualification industrial experience in Electrical service, maintenance and installation industry, Demonstrable experience of electrical health and safety legislation, and Knowledge of Electrical Standards and IEEE (or equivalent regulations).

You must be self-motivated and reliant and have a desire to teach with excellent MS Office skills. You should possess effective interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles.
