R&D Chemist

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative R&D Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our products through scientific research and experimentation. The R&D Chemist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scientific research to support product development initiatives.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate product performance and stability.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities using laboratory information management systems.
• Collaborate with product development teams to translate research findings into actionable insights.
• Analyse data and prepare reports on experimental results.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during the research process, proposing effective solutions.
• Produce product MSDS / COA's and product specifications.
• Produce and record accurate test results
• Work independently and in teams collaboratively with cross functional teams

Skills

• A Can-do attitude
• Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Well versed in Scientific Research & Literature review
• Competent with Lab Safety
• Experience in Wet Chemistry
• Experience with Titrations
• Experience with Analytical Equipment
• Experience with HPLC
• Data Analysis
• Keen eye for problem solving
• Experience with Sulphations & Sulphosuccinates advantageous but not essential
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members.

Experience

• A degree in Chemistry, or a related field is essential.
• Recently qualified candidates considered.
• Proven experience in a laboratory setting, particularly within R&D or Quality Control environments advantageous.
• Familiarity with regulations and their application in product development is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
