Finance Assistant

Part Time | Based near Cirencester

Location: PACE Networks Office (option to work from home 1 day per week)

Hours: 25 hours per week, flexitime, to be agreed with PACE management

Role & Location

A position has become available for a finance assistant at our head quarters in South Cerney, near Cirencester. Supporting the management team at PACE in all aspects of running the companies finances, tasks include:

• Day to day administration of Xero across the group companies
• Credit control and ensuring client payments are managed and chased
• Producing finance reports
• Processing supplier payments
• Paying expenses to employees
• Administration of group company bank accounts
• Supporting management in driving savings within the group, e.g. budgeting, account interest.

This important role for the company and the group, enabling our growth and efficiency, reports to the Managing Director but also involves working with a number of other people across the group including sales, operations and purchasing.

Other general responsibilities include:

• Working in accordance with our ISO9001 system
• Utilising the PACE company software platforms
• Adhering to our quality, environmental and health & safety policies
• Working alongside the PACE team and other group teams

Experience & Skills

This role will suit someone who enjoys teamwork and is able to reliably maintain processes and systems. Experience of using Xero is a requirement as are basic book-keeping skills.

Other key requirements include:

• A responsible attitude
• Ability to manage finances including: Aged Receivables, Aged Payables, Multiple currency payments, Expenses claims, Client Credit Limits
• Ability to communicate accurately with colleagues from different departments
• Ability to produce simple finance reports for management
• Accuracy in managing group bank accounts

Experience:

• Experience of using Xero accounting software - required
• Experience of chasing customer invoice payments – required
• Experience of handling company bank accounts - preferred
• Experience of handling supplier payments - preferred
• Experience of producing finance reports – preferred

Reward

Salary depends on experience and skills but is within £27K to £30K pro-rata.

In addition, we offer 30 days holiday allowance + bank holidays, profit share, pension scheme and health care cover. We also have team activities twice per year which may include travelling abroad.
