We are a family run haulage company based in LS15 and are looking for an experienced Warehouse and Site Manager to take responsibility for the day to day running of our warehouse, yards/site and site security.
Responsibilities will include;
- Managing a team of 10 people, including providing training, performance management, organising rotas.
- Coordinating yard and warehouse activities to ensure turnaround times are kept to a minimum.
- Movement of goods using forklift truck.
- Management of goods in store as per any SLA.
- Manage warehouse operations including but limited to; goods in/out, product sort, inventory, reworks, picking etc.
- Seek opportunities for growth and provide quotes as required.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations for both warehouses, yards and site, including regular periodic checks.
- Carry out maintenance tasks where necessary.
- Coordinate preventative planned maintenance and manage related contracts as required.
- Proactively resolve any building, yard, site issues and/or repairs.
- Accurately maintain records on WMS, goods in/out, invoicing etc.
- Ensuring that BRCGS and quality requirements are met
- Ensuring a high standard of facilities and service are maintained and delivered
- Overseeing site security
- Deliver and report on any KPIs set.

- Proven experience in warehouse management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Flexible and positive attitude towards work
- Experience in WMS systems.
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
- FLT counterbalance licence
- Car licence
- Ideally Pallet network experience
- Ideally Health & Safety qualification (i.e. IOSH) or willingness to complete
- Ideally experience in BRC (or similar) accredited storage and distribution operations.
This is a fast paced hands on role which includes facilities management and you must therefore have the skills and willingness to carry out maintenance works when required.
Our day operational hours are 05:00 - 22:00hrs Monday to Friday and 05:00 - 14:00hrs on a Saturday. The role is contracted to 50hrs per week worked to suit the needs of the operation generally within these times, although some night working may be required to cover absence.
