We’re excited to invite experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our dynamic commercial team! Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful, large-scale MEP projects across the North West and surrounding areas.

About the Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of our projects. You’ll work collaboratively with Project Managers, Operations Managers, and Commercial Director, all while building strong, lasting connections with clients and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate and Lead

  • Provide leadership to the team, mentoring Commercial Administrators, Assistant
  • Quantity Surveyors, and Quantity Surveyors to achieve their potential.
  • Foster teamwork and align the delivery team with company standards and values.

Strategic Planning and Risk Management

  • Review tender documents with the Commercial Manager to clarify terms and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies during project handovers.

Financial Excellence

  • Prepare and submit valuations in partnership with the Project Manager and Operations
  • Director to ensure maximized returns and timely payments.
  • Maintain accurate cost reporting, cash flow forecasts, and ensure final accounts are agreed promptly.

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong connections with clients, subcontractors, and partners to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, ensuring they align with project needs.

Project Oversight

  • Monitor programme commitments and advise on corrective actions to maintain schedules.
  • Lead pre-let meetings, oversee subcontract administration, and manage compliance with the Construction Act.
  • Close-Out Success
  • Drive efficient project close-outs, resolving commercial actions and delivering final accounts seamlessly.
