Job Summary
The Working Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of workers, coordinate tasks, and maintain high standards of quality. The Working Supervisor will serve as the primary point of contact between management and the workforce, facilitating communication and driving performance.
Duties
- Setting out and co-ordinating of works
- To monitor and produce good quality of work
- Ensuring that safety plan and method statements are adhered to onsite by all operatives and sub-contractors
- Be able to write and keep a daily diary/record sheets
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising teams within a construction environment.
- Confident in taking information from drawings
- Have experience in all areas of groundworks, including but not limited too: Excavations, drainage, steel reinforcement works. Finishing works - Patios, kerbing and tarmac works. Shuttering and form works experience
- Must have valid UK driving licence
- CPCS/CSCS card
- Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of making quick decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on project goals.
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
