Bristol City Council is seeking to appoint a Streetworks Inspector to its Highway Network Management team. The team is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the highway network and authorisation of all works and events that take place on it.
The Streetworks Inspectors’ duties will include inspection of utility works and reinstatements, reporting and inspection of utility excavation defects, coordination of streetworks across the city, assessment of Permits and adherence to conditions, ensuring the Council and other works promoters are operating in line with Highways Authorities & Utilities Committee (HAUC) guidance and capable of promoting new initiatives and innovations in order to deliver an effective streetworks service.
Further training and development opportunities will be offered as required.
