As a Housing Officer at Nexus Housing Ltd, you will be expected to supervise the day-to-day management of supported accommodation properties. In this role, you will be expected to have an eye for detail, be meticulous in writing daily debrief and reports and keep an accurate record of each property visit.
As a Housing officer, you must be good at analyzing and solving problems, and confronting tricky situations.
Please note that this is a self employed position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the housing operations
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance repairs and inspections
- Handle tenant inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and document any damages or repairs needed
- Ensure compliance with all housing regulations and guidelines
- To ensure all tenants understand and adhere to their license agreements.
- To deal effectively with complaints, whilst reporting any incidents to Senior Management
- To adhere to Health & Safety as per policy and procedure
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housing management or related field preferred
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexible approach and can think on your feet within given situations
- Experience working in supported housing or other housing needs organisations
- Able to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks
- Full clean driving license and use of your own car
- Able to carry out property visits across assigned areas within Birmingham
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, coupled with excellent communication skills
- Some knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding supported housing
