Maintenance Gardener

Snapdragon Gardening Services is looking to expand their team of skilled workers. We are looking for knowledgable, hard-working and diligent individuals with previous experience in maintenance gardening.

Successful candidates will be skilled in all areas of garden maintenance and have previous experience in completing works to a professional standard within a specified time frame whilst maintaining excellent customer relations.

Previous experience should include:

• Minimum 3 years experience within the trade;
• Mowing/knowledge of techniques and machinery;
• Hedge trimming;
• PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates (not essential);
• Knowledge of H&S within the working environment;
• Full UK driving license;

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and care of gardens and landscapes, ensuring healthy plant growth and aesthetics.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools for various gardening tasks, including pruning, planting, and weeding.
• Drive to different sites as needed, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of landscape maintenance and grounds-keeping.

Summary

As a Maintenance Gardener, you will be responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain healthy and aesthetically pleasing. Reporting to the Squad Leader, you will utilise your core skills in horticulture and gardening, alongside premium skills in using hand and power tools, to maintain landscapes effectively. Your driving licence will enable you to travel between sites as needed. With relevant experience in landscape maintenance and grounds-keeping, you will play a vital role in promoting the beauty and functionality of our green spaces.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 7-8 months

Pay: From £12.24 per hour depending on experience.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Professional gardening/landscaping: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• PA1/PA6 certificate (preferred)
• drivers license (preferred)
