HGV Class 1 Driver

We currently have vacancies for HGV Class 1 drivers.

The positions we have are Days (Monday to Friday)

Nights (Monday to Friday)

Tramper (Tuesday to Saturday)

The role is based at our Heywood depot and is a permanent role.

Archbold is a family-owned business over 100 years’ old.

We generally carry light, clean product.

Interaction with the traffic team is key and we pride ourselves on good driver/traffic relations.

Successful candidates must have the following:

• Class 1 Licence (CAT C+E) with less than 6 points – No DR, DD or IN codes
• Drivers Licence (photo card)
• Digital Tachograph card
• Driver Qualification card (CPC)
• Ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism.

You will need to ensure all documentation is accurately completed, adhere to safe working practices, and have a flexible approach to your work pattern as dictated by customer/operational requirements as well as complying with all legislation in line with Driver Hours and Working Time Directive.

Remuneration package includes

Weekly Salary £624 for Monday to Friday Saturday working based on a 48 hour working week (£13.00ph). – plus weekly bonus of £48

Average weekly earnings – based on 9 hours extra per week – £759 (Monday to Friday). – plus weekly bonus of £48

Monday to Friday - £13.00ph

Overtime - £15.00ph

Nights allowance paid at £15.00 per night.

Night out allowance is £26.00 per night

Overtime after 48 hours - £15.00ph
