Workday Integration Engineer

As our Workday Integration Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development of the Workday HR System. You will be required to build integrations between the system and other business application providers on the cloud (SaaS), ERP, and 3rd party systems.

You will be responsible for building, orchestrating, and deploying complex integration patterns between system, process, and service layers, as well as interpreting and translating requirements to develop Workday integrations.

You will collaborate and work within high-velocity software engineering teams, bringing expertise in Integrations, API gateways, and Agile software delivery. As well as providing Integration Workday Support, supporting the HRIS team and responding to Workday tickets as a point of escalation.

This role is based in our St Albans Head Office.

What we’re looking for: 

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent or proven years of experience.
• Proven experience with working in Workday HR system.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Integration toolset (Studio, Extend, EIB, Document Transformation, CCWs, CCBs, Cloud Connect, PECI, PICOF, Report Writer, BIRT, APIs, Web Services, XSLT, & Rest URL). Experience in Workday Payroll is desirable.
• Strong command of enterprise architecture concepts, integration design patterns, and HR business processes.
• Excellent design skills, planning abilities, and a pragmatic approach to driving organisational success.
• Extensive experience translating business requirements into effective integration solutions.
• Participate in all aspects of software development, including design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Partner with internal teams and 3rd party software vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Experience with building, maintaining, debugging, and monitoring enterprise systems like Workday.
• Adhere to company standards and apply design principles and patterns to develop robust software.
• Work with development methodologies, adhering to best practices.
• Ability to solve complex problems, combining existing solutions with new code where necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex topics with precision and accuracy.
• Organised and capable of working independently and in a team.
• Experienced professional with a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills.
