About the Role:

Peter Smythe Transport Training is seeking a professional and dedicated PCV Bus Instructor to join our team at Midway Depot in Leighton Buzzard. You will train and prepare candidates to meet DVSA standards for operating passenger-carrying vehicles. In this role, you will deliver high-quality instruction, assess driving skills, and support candidates to ensure their success in their tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training and Assessment:

Deliver structured training sessions to prepare candidates for DVSA practical on-road and off-road tests. Assess driving skills and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.

• Vehicle Maintenance:

Ensure training vehicles are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Conduct pre-use inspections and report any issues to the site supervisor promptly.

• Professionalism and Customer Service:

Create a positive and supportive learning environment for candidates. Address questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity.

• Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of candidate progress, including detailed feedback and performance notes.

• Scheduling:

Coordinate with candidates to organise training schedules and test appointments effectively.

• Safety Compliance:

Promote and enforce safety standards during all training sessions to protect candidates and the public.

• Continuous Development:

Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, while maintaining a professional development portfolio.

Experience:

• Instructor: 1 year (preferred)
• Driving: 3 years (preferred)
