The Role: 

  • In the role of a Pest Control Officer, you will deliver high-quality pest control services to residential, commercial, and public sector clients across the borough
  • As a Pest Control Officer, you will undertake investigations and treatments for a range of pests, ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • The Pest Control Officer will support the Council’s statutory duties under public health legislation through responsive domestic pest control work as well as manage income-generating service contracts and one-off treatments for businesses, landlords, and housing providers
  • As a Pest Control Officer, you will provide expert advice and recommendations to customers on pest prevention and control measures and accurately record all inspections, treatments, and outcomes using digital systems and service records
  • For this role of a Pest Control Officer, you will need to work flexibly across a variety of locations, including homes, commercial premises, and public areas and collaborate with Environmental Health Officers and other departments to support wider public health objectives
