Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Law of Obligations (with a special emphasis on the Law of Torts) (Teaching and Research)
Salary: Lecturer: £41,671 to £57,422 per annum / Senior Lecturer: Grade 8 £59,139 to £70,579 per annum (depending on relevant experience)
We are looking for candidates with research and teaching expertise in Law, specialising in the Law of Obligations (with a special emphasis on the Law of Torts).
The Post
The University of Manchester Law School sits within the School of Social Sciences and is internationally recognised for pursuing high quality research across all areas of Law and delivering excellent teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
To further strengthen our research and teaching portfolio, in line with our strategic objectives, the School wishes to appoint to a Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Law.
The appointee will be expected to take a leadership role in the direction and development of the Law of Obligations (with a Special Emphasis on the Law of Torts) at Manchester so as to enhance the School’s international reputation in this field.
Job Description
To undertake high-quality teaching and research in Law, to work with colleagues in developing and sustaining the School of Law, School of Social Sciences and University of Manchester, and to contribute to the general operation of the School of Law as a member of its academic team.
