Plasterer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering techniques and be capable of delivering high-quality finishes on various surfaces. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Plasterer will be responsible for applying plaster, rendering, and other materials to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and durable finish.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
• Mix plaster and other materials to the correct consistency for application.
• Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth finish on walls and ceilings.
• Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching holes and cracks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as bricklayers and carpenters, to ensure project specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
• Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist in the installation of related materials such as insulation or decorative mouldings when required.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role is essential.
• Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous.
• Experience in using power tools and hand tools effectively is required.
• Knowledge of roofing systems may be beneficial for specific projects.
• Ability to weld is considered a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
