Kent County Council (KCC) is the county council that governs the majority of the county of Kent in England. Its geographic area additionally comprises 12 district councils, and around 300 town and parish councils. The county council has 81 elected councillors. The Leader, cabinet and the Corporate Directors are responsible for the day-to-day running of the council.
It is one of the largest local authorities in England in terms of population served and the largest local authority of its type. The council is based at County Hall in Maidstone. It has been under Conservative majority control since 1997.

- As a Driver you will be required to complete a KCC Minibus Driver Assessment and Passenger Safety course before commencing driving duties.
- You will need to have an awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities with challenging behaviour, autism, epilepsy, and other disabilities.

- The main duties of the post holder will include being responsible for the operational line management of an integrated team of multi-agency staff to improve outcomes for children in care, care leavers and children with a social worker.
- You should have recent and relevant experience of senior leadership within a school or education setting.

- We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can work as part of a busy team as well as by their own, providing a high standard of care for the children and young people that we support.
- As a night worker, you will mainly work alone for 1 shift of 10 hours per week, ensuring the safety and security of the children in residence whilst other staff are asleep.
